Get your nature on!

We all go through the hustle and bustle of a Monday morning routine. It’s a hard one to overcome. Leaving your summer vibes behind and dragging yourself behind that far too bright computer screen feels like torture. But believe it or not, summer goes on. So how about some crank-it-up tips to get you through your Monday blues. An what a better way to do this than with natures finest.

Take a barefoot walk through the park

Walking barefoot on the grass or even in the dirt helps you feel connected to the earth. This is called “grounding” or “earthing” and creates a positive charge in both the body and mind.
Feeling a connectedness to the elements of nature can be both relaxing and uplifting at the same time. Take your colleagues out for dinner at the park and your afternoon will be over before you know it.

Clear your mind outdoors

It shouldn’t take more than 5 minutes per day. Being outdoors has a lasting effect on a person’s health and well-being. Many scientific studies even revealed a significant relationship between being in nature and lower rates of depression and anxiety (study in 2009 in the Netherlands)

Being away from the stressors of everyday life would be a helpful way for you and your coworkers to de-stress and recharge your batteries. This walk is starting to look very tempting, right? It only takes five 😉

Healthy alone time or quality time with co-workers

Having alone time can be really, really good for you. It gives you space to reflect on your life, decisions, and things that are truly important to you.

Nature is the perfect place to enjoy some alone time. But it’s also the perfect place to spend some quality time. Get to know your co-workers and choose the right setting to do so. Strengthening the bond between you and your colleagues will increase trust, stimulate connection and provide better work performance.

So, it doesn’t matter if you’re more of a thinker or a talker, make time during your busy schedule while simultaneously getting back in touch with nature. This will give you a fresh perspective and appreciation for life.
